Extinguisher Servicing |
| Whether you own your own fire
extinguishers or rent from Spencer-Fire, ALL servicing is carried out to the
demanding standards laid down in BS5306, part 3:2003.
Water, Powder and Foam fire extinguishers must undergo
a Discharge Test & Refill (DTR) every FIVE years. Carbon Dioxide
undergo hydrostatic
testing and recharge every TEN years.

Spencer-Fire
will only issue a Certificate of Compliance to extinguishers that
are correctly maintained under the guidance given in BS5306, part
3:2003. Non conforming extinguishers will (as per BS5306) be labeled as
"Condemned" or "NON Maintained" as appropriate.
Good
quality and well maintained fire extinguishers can provide years of
service before replacement is necessary.
